A Famish I'd Die For

Delectable, scrumptious, toothsome and appetizing,
It’s been quite a long since me and my appetite aligned.
What hunger is left in me to keep me thriving?
These feeding tubes haunt every bit of my mind.
There will come a day, I haven’t lost hope,
I’ll snuggle in my bed with a ravishing snack.
For now, this head of mine is held by a rope,
It rests in a malady caused by the attack.
The night the predator hit my home,
Did he seize my hunger for life?
I haven’t felt hungry in years,
I wonder is it worth living for?
My dreams are crying for just another chance,
Give me the hunger, it’s a famish I’d die for.
