Entry No. 16 : From DM’d To Damned : Part 1

“Attention” the word is meant to be broken. Let’s not blame technology for this, it’s our own doing. Not just the span of it but the significance behind it too.
Here’s a modern twist:

The story started with a picture
Of an interesting one
With mesmerized beauty
The eye had seen none
I tried to think straight
But that wasn’t one

My aim was to catch
The twinkle eye or none
It started with smiles
Of here daily vibes
To the funny jokes
That meant close
It took a time
But oh man did it arrive

One of my arrows
Just had a reply
It took a smile
From Mine to say
“Hi there, What’s your aim?”

The chats went on
With those smiles came along
They made me blush
But my mom flushed

Then came the talks
Against the sleep lost
Where minds were open
And rewind if must

We opened the night
With salvos from side
By the morning mints
That was love at first sight

And long went these stories
Of heaven and hell
When we search for compatibility
The trauma was shared.

At last, we met
A rainy day around
With an umbrella in our hand
We had that first moment around
It was one to realise
As I didn’t catch the wind sound
The day ended
But the sun gleamed crowned

The laughs were changed
By the hands
As holds found
A little one passed
When we spoke
Three words that sound

It took a while
To adjust to life
But oh so happy
We were just bound

But then came the cracks
Of momentary lapse
The problems that shone
Were not opened as shown

What killed it wasn’t one of us
What killed it was between one of us
We shared the laugh
We shared the cry
But when we had a sigh with one
A third listened by

That was the point to remember
As truth be told
I regretted the fact
That I didn’t share those sore

We knew to fight
But we didn’t knew to win
Light by light
This story started to dim
From beloved, we turned behold
As the light petered out the flame
We turned that strangers to once again

The story doesn’t end here
As it says
That attention we paid
Was misplaced
That significance of words
Was betrayed
And to see that happen again
Was a loss
We never gauged
