Efflorescence of a Sunflower

Cold in a corner,
the darkness ruled-
stood a sunflower
sorrowful and bruised

Nuances of belle, all gone away
with the wheel of time.
Every petal seasoned,
but the feelings stayed

Every drop of water
merged with the tears
fabricating the sadness,
concealing all fear

Against the blue
the sunflower shone,
against the citrine purity of sunshine
gently bending, it finally smiled

In its radiance was a splash of sapphire,
draping the field with its floral light

Apart it stood, among the scarlet roses,
as it gleamed with colour,
a sweet melody traced
the whole spectrum with amber
